Italy – Gardaland inaugurates Easy Rider, a service dedicated to having fun for the disabled

The famous Italian amusement park "Gardaland" , located in Ronchi in the municipality of Castelnuovo del Garda, in the province of Verona , thanks to the collaboration of ProgettoYeah!, A company branch that has long been involved in breaking down the barriers of disability, has inaugurated “Easy Rider”, a service exclusively designed to ensure maximum fun and entertainment within the park, for all those with disabilities of various kinds. In this way, thanks to Easy Rider, that fundamental support is realized, which helps the disabled to spend the day at Gardaland in the best possible way. We are certainly talking about an absolute novelty used by amusement parks, in fact Gardaland is the first structure that wanted to test this personalized service, aimed at those guests who have very specific and particular needs. It is clear that thanks to Easy Rider, a whole series of advantages for the disabled are outlined, such as the possibility of having fun without any problems and also being able to orient oneself in the park, with simplicity, opting for the shortest route, to reach the chosen attractions. The park staff has the task of accompanying visitors during the day and obviously before the disabled person tries a certain attraction, they are informed about its functioning and characteristics. In addition, the staff also takes care of making reservations on behalf of guests in the restaurants in the park. The Easy Rider service is available on the Park's opening days from April to July and in September ; the time slots range from 10.30 to 13.30 and from 14 to 17. Easy Rider is dedicated to groups of at least 4, up to a maximum of 12 participants and provides for a balanced number of guests with disabilities and carers, it is also important to specify that the staff of the park does not replace the carers of people with disabilities, but is to be considered as a sort of added value for the group within which the availability of an adequate number of carers is strictly necessary, which is one for each disabled person. To use the service, you must book at least 3 days before the chosen date, by calling 045.6449777 . Easy Rider staff will welcome the group at the Welcome Desk located at the entrance medieval castle. For the Easy Rider service a contribution of 5 euros is required for each member of the group. Admission to Gardaland is free for non self-sufficient people with disabilities while it is at a reduced rate for self-sufficient people with disabilities and for accompanying persons. Payment can be made directly upon arrival at the Welcome Desk, furthermore any changes and / or cancellation of the reservation must be made at least 3 days before the date of the visit.
