Another and important step forward in the sector that aims to break down all those limits and barriers placed on disabled people, this time comes directly from the United States and precisely from San Antonio in Texas. Here, in fact, recently, the "Morgan's Inspiration Island" was finally inaugurated , the first water park in the world exclusively designed and dedicated to people with disabilities , who have always never been able to experience the fun of a day inside of such a structure. Click here to discover all our travel proposals for the disabled and accessible !! The creator of all this is Gordon Hartman , whose words we faithfully report, spoken to the microphones of the various newscasts who interviewed him, to explain the reasons that pushed him in this direction: «" Our goal is to give a great experience for our guests in a safe , comfortable and not too crowded environment. The Morgan's Inspiration island is committed to giving people with physical or cognitive disabilities a place where they can splash and play without barriers'. " The structure naturally makes use of the indispensable support of various figures such as doctors, teachers, therapists and numerous health professionals, hired specifically to solve any type of problem or need manifested by people with physical handicaps. Furthermore, at the time of entry, each visitor will be applied a traceable bracelet , in this way parents will be able to follow their children in their movements at any time and without any difficulty. Another strong point of the park that should be pointed out is the fact that it is possible to rent at no cost , even special wheelchairs covered with tires that are impermeable to water .
Any area of the park has been designed to accommodate people with any type of handicap and children with greater disabilities can enter for free. Finally, in order to avoid a possible danger for all those people, who have a very high sensitivity to the cold , an additional truly surprising safety measure has been adopted: the water in the park changes color along with variations in temperature. It is certainly a unique and isolated story at the moment, we only hope that very soon other similar water parks will arise in other parts of the world, perhaps even in Italy, to guarantee so many more disabled children their right to have fun.
