Accessible Turin between taste and entertainment

Turin, not only a city of cinema, with the anniversary of its museum which turns 20, but also sweetness and taste with an excursion  to  discover  some  delicacies typical of Turin : chocolate and Vermouth. Finally, on the last day, it is possible to visit the Reggia di Venaria and its gardens or, for the more curious, take a walk between nature and design between the Valentino park and the ingot district. An on-line experience is included ,which can be done in the comfort of your home before the tour : it will let you  choose between the Piedmontese tradition of chocolate processing or to discover the first real aperitif, the Vermouth di Torino.

ARRIVAL IN TURIN (- / - / -)

Arrive independently at your hotel. Accommodation in a double room accessible with breakfast at Best Western Plus Hotel Genova 4 * (parking available with supplement)

The Best Western Plus Hotel Genova-strategically located near the Porta Nuova station and a short walk from the center of Turin-it has 91 rooms, including 6 accessible rooms, all different in modern style, with sloping ceilings or classic of a tradition of hospitality that has marked the history of the hotel since the end of the 19th century.

Meeting with the guide for a brief introduction to the trip and a walking tour around the hotel to provide reference points for customers, report some points of interest nearby and how to reach them independently.

After a visit of about 2 hours, chocolate and Vermouth tour

A walking itinerary to discover the all-Turin origin of chocolate and thee aperitivo with stories about the origins of the famous flavored wine and characters from the past and interesting news related to the invention and production of these typical products.
A journey through stages in the historic center of the city dedicated to the great Turin tradition of cocoa process and the history of famous artisans.
Among fascinating historic cafes and traditional shops, we will discover the origin of the mania for cocoa by powerful duchesses, the popular history of the gianduiotto and the declared love by nobles and intellectuals for the greedy Bicerin and hot chocolate.
Possibility to combine different types of tasting with the tour (gianduiotto, hot chocolate, gianduia ice cream, bicerin ...) with an additional cost starting from € 5 per person.
* The tour takes place completely outdoors between the squares and streets of the city center. Along the walk we will meet several chocolatiers, cafes and historic places which, in many cases, have steps at the entrance and do not have accessible bathrooms. The experience can be enjoyed in any case by people with motor disabilities, we will study the best itinerary to avoid and / or overcome steps and architectural barriers.

Tour walking through the streets of the city, a journey through time and space that will involve you in suggestions related to the cinema made in Turin from the beginning of the century to the present day. A guided narration that tells different lives, stories and eras and will immerse you in the iconic places of the Piedmontese capital.
Narrative walk on the cinema from piazza Bodoni to piazza Carlo Emanuele II passing through the streets of the pedestrianized historic center.

1. Royal Tour (duration about 3 hours) 10/13
Reggia di Venaria and Royal Gardens

Guided tour of the large rooms of the Royal Palace of Venaria Reale to discover their beauty, including marble sculptures, tapestries and antique furnishings. The guide will tell the story of the palace and the anecdotes of the Court that- between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries- lived in this residence in the summer.
The gardens of the Reggia will surprise you with their size and symmetry; it will be a discovery to walk in the Garden of Fluid Sculptures by Giuseppe Penone and come into contact with real and bronze trees, marble boulders and water games.

In the afternoon visit to the temporary exhibitions of the Royal Palace on your own
or walk in the Royal Park La Mandria (reachable in a few minutes on foot).

2. Turin tour between nature and design (duration about 3 hours) 9.30 / 12.30

Guided walking tour along the Po starting from Parco del Valentino, the green lung a few hundred meters from the historic center of Turin, where art and history give space to nature.
Guided tour of the medieval village. Walk to the Fountain of the Four Seasons.
The tour continues in the Valentino park up to the Turin Automobile Museum, entering the Lingotto district. Visit of the historic building of the Lingotto with ascent to the track.
Free time with shopping opportunities at the 8 Gallery shopping center, one of the largest and most innovative in the city.

Lunch recommended by Eataly, one of the brands of Italian food and wine excellence (adjacent to the Lingotto).
In the afternoon, visit the Turin Automobile Museum on your own.
